      Suree, or Nok as she is known to so many, continues her tradition of serving delectable Thai cooking coupled with impeccable service at Amarin in Hillcrest.  Nok has one other location, Siam Nara by Suree in Mira Mesa.  Her journey to becoming a  successful executive chef and businesswoman began not in 1993 with Amarin but when she was just 7 years old.
       As a curious child, she absorbed much of her knowledge from her mother as she circled her in the kitchen and followed her to the markets. She earned her mother’s trust to make jasmine rice, in which her mother complimented her on with much pride and to her delight. By far the most profound experience for Nok was when one day at 7 years old, her mother challenged her to make an entire meal for the family.  She was so ecstatic and recalls going to the market, picking out ingredients according to what she had observed.  From how to pick out the freshest vegetables to the most tender of meats, Nok did so with a sense of pride which she carries with her in not only the food but the service in all of her restaurants decades later.
    It has been nearly two decades since Nok embarked on this endeavor as an entrepreneur and at every juncture, she has enjoyed every moment of spicing up her customer’s lives by serving unique signature dishes, creating elegant presentations, and providing a chic yet traditional culinary ambience that makes for an unforgettable dining experience!  She is grateful to all who continue to inspire her way of life, creating, cooking, and serving the essence of  Thai Cuisine.

Solteped Pueblas, Mexico. His love

for Thai food and culture continues to

influence his career and position as

Chef and husband to Thai Chef (Mai).

For him, Thai food is much like love

and romance, offering explosive

flavors of heat and subtle hints of

sweetness that in the end, always

satisfies.

Art is from Bangkok, Thailand and

has been with Amarin Thai since

2008. With a love and passion for

wine, Art and his team developed

one of the progressive wine lists for

Thai restaurants in the area. For him,

Amarin is a family neighborhood

restaurant where customers and

servers have a chance to connect
